The Shallow Reef Wave Tank brings the surge zone indoors. Programmable wave makers build real waves that roll in and break over the reef, just as they do on a shallow reef flat — paired with high-output reef lighting and full marine life support.
Highlights
- Programmable waves, from gentle surge to breaking sets, on a daily schedule
- 12-channel full-spectrum reef lighting for soft to SPS corals
- Marine life support with temperature control and monitoring
- Designed, built, installed and controlled in-house with Aquafab Workbench
A striking public exhibit, and a research platform for studying flow, light and reef physiology under realistic wave energy.
