Tide Pool Simulator
Natural tide cycles that raise and lower the water throughout the day.
An intertidal habitat that follows natural tide cycles, flooding and draining the pool throughout the day, with optional thermal control — for immersive exhibits and emersion, desiccation and thermal-stress research.

The Tide Pool Simulator reproduces the intertidal zone by following natural tide cycles: the water level rises and falls throughout the day, exposing and re-submerging organisms exactly as the coastline does. Run real tide tables for a specific location, or program your own schedule.
Highlights
- True rising and falling tides that follow natural daily cycles
- Optional thermal control to simulate warming during low tide
- Rocky substrate and pool layouts designed for your organisms
- Controlled and logged by Aquafab Workbench for exhibit or research use
A captivating public exhibit that changes throughout the day — and a powerful platform for studying emersion, desiccation and thermal stress. We design, build, install and support every tide pool.
